The Bruinvisch is the only commercial sailing vessel still powered by a working old Kromhout engine from 1917. The ship is a living piece of sailing heritage. It still smells a bit like the old days, like linseed oil and brown tar.

We offer short or longer sailing trips for young and old, for groups and individual passengers. In summer, the ship is one of the few to be found on the Oost Wad and the German Wadden Sea. We sail with the wind and the tide and drop anchor in the most beautiful spots. Once a year, the Bruinvisch calls at the uninhabited Wadden Island of Rottumeroog.
