About this ship
Pure and authentic.
Come aboard and experience the special atmosphere of this traditional Tjalk, a jewel within the ‘brown fleet’ and a very fine sailing ship.
She will gladly take you to the peace, space, nature and beauty of the Wadden Sea, IJsselmeer and canals & lakes of, for example, Friesland, Groningen and Overijssel or North Holland.
The ship has 16 berths in 5 cabins. We recommend a maximum of 14 people due to the available space in the cabins. This may vary when children are included.
The permanent crew consists of two people, namely the mate and myself. We will patiently explain everything you need to know. The world on board and around us is so different from life on dry land. It’s something you have to experience at least once. Many of our predecessors have become addicted to it.
