The Tjalk Jacobsschelp, 125 years old, is a fine ship for day trips on the Markermeer and IJsselmeer, with the cockpit as the central location. Because the ship, at 15 metres, is the smallest of the large flat-bottomed boats, everything is done by hand, so even during a short stay on board, you still have an overview of what you are doing.
If you feel like it, you can easily sail the ship yourself. It is an ideal ship for family and friends for a weekend or longer trip.
